Coinbase added the ability to directly buy cryptocurrencies through Apple Pay
American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase today announced the expansion of payment options for its users.
From now on, Coinbase customers can fund their accounts directly through Apple Pay. Previously, this option was only available to Coinbase's own card holders when they added it to their Apple Wallet.

"If you already have a Visa or Mastercard debit card tied to your Apple Wallet, Apple Pay will automatically appear as a payment method when you purchase cryptocurrency through Coinbase on an iOS device that supports Apple Pay or in the Safari web browser," the company wrote.
In addition, in the fall, the same opportunity will appear for users of Google Pay. The information that Coinbase is preparing to integrate Apple Pay and Google Pay, appeared in late April - then the users have noticed the corresponding icons in the code of the Coinbase application.
Also today, Coinbase announced that it is connecting instant withdrawals in the U.S. through Real Time Payments (RTP), up to $100,000 per transaction.
In the past, customers had to use an automated clearing mechanism, through which withdrawals can take up to five days. There is no limit to the number of RTP transactions per day.
